The sword is in full mount. Fuchi/Kashira are matching with bird, fish and water motif. Iron signed tsuba (maker is unknown). Menuki are a kind of floral motif. The ribbed saya is in pretty fair shape for its age but with some dings and light splitting (not falling apart, see photo).

Habaki

Copper two piece habaki with a small piece missing from one side, it can be sen in the photo showing the habaki.

Comments

Nice wakizashi in mounts and good polish in overall pretty good condition. With some light scratches and some very light scuffing. The sword shows off a stunning itame hada and an active midare hamon with a lot of nie. There are a few small thin ware in the shinogi ji and one in the ji surface (non fatal). No fatal flaws.

This is a very well made and eye pleasing sword. On the mune (spine) there are a few nicks along the back. They were hard to photograph because they are thin and small. This is a very solid sword
